Two Hoop Chain

I had an inspiration to make a chain in this design but I wasn't sure what gauge of wire I wanted to use, so I made short lengths in 20 gauge and 18 gauge. I decided to make the necklace in 18 gauge, but I kept the 20 gauge pieces for earrings.

As I was working on the chain I wasn't sure how long to make it. Stephen kept saying to make it 40 inches, which seemed like an impossible goal, but I'm really glad I pushed through to make it that long. I made it as one continuous loop without a clasp, but I can fit it over my head to wear it doubled as shown or in a single long length. The small rings inside the large rings are free-floating, so they add a lot of movement to the chain. When I wear it in a single length I find I play with it a lot.
